In order to keep all golfers safe and satisfied, please adhere to the rules and regulations which govern the use of our facilities at Sunset Golf Course.

Please Note: Guidelines are subject to change at any time without notice.

General Golf Course Rules

  • It is always advantageous to book a tee time, either online or by calling our Pro Shop. Fees are not charged in advance; golfers pay at the course when arriving for tee time.
  • Please call the Pro Shop as soon as possible if you need to cancel a tee time.
  • Groups are required to arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled tee time, as late arrivals may necessitate cancellation and rescheduling to the next available tee time.
  • Each golfer must have their own set of clubs while on the course.
  • Groups larger than foursomes are not permitted at any time (unless authorized by a Pro Shop staff member).
  • Proper attire is required at all times; this includes mandatory soft spikes, plus the following:
MEN — Collared shirts with sleeves; NO T-shirts, NO tank tops, NO muscle shirts, NO cut-off shorts.
WOMEN — NO bikini tops or short shorts, sleeveless shirts permissible.
  • Golfers are liable for any damage to golf carts or adjoining properties!
  • Ride-alongs (anyone on the course not playing) are permitted at the discretion of the Pro Shop and are strictly forbidden on weekends before 3pm. Please call ahead for weekday ride-alongs.
  • ALWAYS OBSERVE PROPER GOLF ETIQUETTE! Please replace divots, rake sand traps, fix ball marks, follow daily cart rules, and strive to never be a hacker!

Alcoholic Beverage Policy

  • In accordance with PA Liquor Laws, it is strictly prohibited to bring any alcoholic beverages onto the Sunset Golf Course property. Alcohol is sold and served only at the adjacent Sunset Bar & Grill.
  • Those violating the above policy may have their beverages confiscated and be asked to leave without a refund.

Proper Pace of Play

  • Keeping pace on the golf course is both a requirement and a courtesy. Standard pace of play is a maximum of 2 hours, 15 minutes for 9 holes, or 4 hours, 30minutes for 18 holes.
  • Those falling behind the appropriate pace will be asked to speed up and, if the lagging continues, to skip holes in order to get back into sync with the group ahead. When a third warning is necessary, the slow group will be asked to come back at a less busy time (with credit provided for un-played holes).
